BRUNSWICK, Ohio (June 2, 2016) – Companies in the Brunswick Business Park and the surrounding area came together for a food drive to benefit Feeding Medina County. More than 25 businesses volunteered to donate for the event.
Participants dropped off items at Proximity Marketing May 26-27, where Feeding Medina County picked up the donation. Items collected included canned goods, cereals, peanut butter, dog food, condiments and more. More than 28 large boxes of non-perishable food items were donated, totaling 1,265 pounds of food. Integrated Marketing Technologies also donated three pallets of frozen food for the cause, which was an additional 2,018 pounds of food.
“Coming together as businesses to give back to the community that has given so much to us was a fantastic opportunity to take part in,” said Mark Priebe, president of Proximity Marketing, which organized the food drive with the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance.
“The business park is home to so many companies in the Brunswick area. It was great to team up with our neighboring businesses for this great cause.”
Feeding Medina County is a non-profit organization helping to feed families in need in Medina County. The non-profit reported that each year, through its Weekenders, Staples for Seniors and multiple food distribution programs throughout the year, it provides food to 20,236 people.
